Prof Ezeanolue, received his medical training both in Nigeria and the United States and subsequently have focused my career on the use of implementation science and practice to enhance the effectiveness and quality of health services. For over a decade, He served as the Director of the HRSA funded Nevada Comprehensive Maternal-Child HIV program in Las Vegas (H12HA24832). I have broad experience in implementation science and clinical effectiveness research and have been PI, MPI or Co-Investigator on >25 peer-reviewed funded projects including the NIH funded Baby Shower Trial (R01HD075050) that recruited 6,000 women across 40 sites; iSTAR Trial (R01HD089871) that recruited 10,000 women and 7,000 male partners across 80 sites; and the Point-of-Delivery Prenatal Test Results through mHealth to Improve Birth Outcome (R21TW010252) which enrolled participants across 100 sites in Nigeria.
He held various national positions in the United States including as Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow (Office of the Secretary for Health, 2010 – 2011); member, Disparity Advisory Panel, Patient Centered Outcome Research Institute (PCORI; 2013 – 2015); member, American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Pediatrics AIDS (AAP, 2013 – 2019); and voting member, Advisory Council on Immunization Practices (ACIP; 2015 – 2019). I was recognized as Nevada Public Health Leader of the Year (2007), Nevada Health Care Hero (2008), Nevada Immunization Champion (2009), AAP Local Hero (2010), and was elected as a lifetime member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) chapter for my contributions to public health.
