CTAIR Scholar Program

A mentored fellowship pairing early-career researchers with active implementation science studies.

About This Programme

The CTAIR Scholar Program is a transformative 24-week journey addressing a recognized gap in grant writing and research proposal development among investigators. Scholars receive structured training on grant opportunities from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and non-NIH funders, paired with personalized mentorship from seasoned research professionals.

Beyond funding strategy, the programme builds the soft skills implementation scientists need to communicate their work, including a dedicated science communication workshop and a one-week in-person residency at IVAN Research Institute. Competition for a place is real: the most recent cohort drew over 100 applications from within and outside Nigeria.
