Hepatitis B Initiative

A research and vaccination-coverage initiative reducing the burden of Hepatitis B across Nigeria.

About This Programme

The Hepatitis B Initiative (HBI) investigates and addresses gaps in birth-dose hepatitis B vaccine coverage, a critical, time-sensitive intervention for preventing mother-to-child transmission.

Findings from the initiative's coverage assessments feed directly into prevention and control strategies, giving policymakers and health facilities the evidence base to close immunization gaps at the point of birth.
